WHAT IS AN UPPER GI ENDOSCOPY, AND WHY DO WE DO IT?
Upper Endoscopy is a procedure that uses a lighted flexible endoscope to see inside the esophagus, stomach and duodenum (the first part of the small intestine).
The Upper Endoscopy is used to help determine the cause of :
- Abdominal Pain
- Bleeding in the Upper GI Tract
- Gastric Reflux
- Swallowing Difficulties
- Unexplained Weight Loss
